Eligibility for SBNP Business Membership

If you are not sure if your business qualifies to join the Sustainable Business Network of Portland, please take a few moments to answer the following questions:

1. Is your business privately held? (not publicly traded) yes or no

2. Do the business owners, totaling greater than 50% of the business ownership, live in Multnomah, Clackamas, Columbia, Yamhill or Washington counties in Oregon or in Clark county Washington? yes or no
   
3. Is your business registered in the state of Oregon or Washington, with no corporate or national headquarters outside the counties listed in question 2? yes or no
      
4. Can your business make independent decisions regarding the name and look of your business, as well as all business purchasing, practices and distribution? yes or no
 
5. Do you pay all your own marketing, rent and other business expenses (without assistance from a corporate headquarters)? Note: this does not apply to networks of cooperatively-owned businesses. yes or no

Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions. If you answered yes to all, you are encouraged to apply to be a Business Member in the Sustainable Business Network of Portland.   If you don't qualify as a Business Member, you still can become involved with SBNP either as an Affiliate Member or an Individual Member.
