Our Members are independent, locally owned businesses, farms, organizations, and individuals who are committed to this region and its quality of life.

SBNP Business Members must be locally owned, independent businesses. This means they cannot be publicly traded or franchises of publicly traded corporations. If you are not sure if your business qualifies for membership, click here.

Businesses must also agree to the following statement in order to join SBNP. We will:

  1. Manage the enterprise in ethical ways that create a healthy workplace and benefit and enhance our employees and our local community.
  2. Take steps to engage in operational practices that protect and restore the natural environment such as recycling, conserving energy, encouraging alternative forms of transportation to and from our workplace etc.
  3. Purchase and source items locally when possible and from businesses that benefit the local communities and environment in which they operate.

Fill Out An Online Application Today!
Our easy online application/profile saves trees and enables businesses to detail information on their existing sustainable business practices, provide information on ownership, multiple locations, products and services and provide as much detail as you desire so that others using our online Marketplace directory will know all about you!  We want to recognize those businesses who are already using a variety of sustainable business practices to educate others and encourage the adoption of these practices.

We invite you to join the Sustainable Business Network of Portland by clicking on Join SBNP and filling out your profile. Please first take a look at our Benefits of Membership. Our Membership Rates page describes our dues levels. Special Offers for Members gives some cost saving opportunities available to our members.

You will be emailed when a staff member approves your membership application/profile, submitted here online. We will contact you about the option to pay with a  credit card over the phone or you can choose to send us a check in the mail directly to:  SBNP at PO Box 6953  Portland, OR 97228-6953.

If you are looking for member businesses that provide specific products or services, try searching the Marketplace.
